STRETCH FILM
Stretch film, also known as stretch wrap or pallet wrap, is a highly stretchable plastic film used to secure and bundle items together for transportation or storage. It is made from linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), a type of plastic known for its durability, strength, and flexibility.
Stretch film is commonly used in industries such as logistics, shipping, and manufacturing to secure items onto pallets or to bundle smaller items together. The film is typically applied by wrapping it tightly around the items to be secured, which causes the film to stretch and conform to the shape of the items. This creates a tight, protective layer that keeps items together and helps prevent damage during transit.
In addition to its protective qualities, stretch film can also be used to prevent tampering or theft. Colored or opaque stretch film can be used to conceal the contents of a shipment, making it more difficult for thieves to target specific items.
Stretch film is a widely used packaging material due to its versatility, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use.
