Insulation EPE is used widely for insulating air conditioner pipes, or in many applications in construction. It is a closed-cell foam insulation that is flexible, tough and durable. By having crosslinked foam structure, it has excellent compression resistance with a high vapour diffusion resistance.

Plusfoam has 4 products that are classified as EPE foam for Insulation: Metalized Film, Aluminum foil, XPE foam and foam tube. EPE insulation tube has the same manufacturing process as EPE foam roll. However, it is produced as a tube based on the specific die type at the mouth of the machine where the EPE is extruded. One of the best products Plusfoam has in the insulation category is the corner pack which is classified under a foam tube.

CLASSIFICATION

EPE INSULATION TUBE

Plusfoam can produce all kinds of thickness (ID and OD) and colours of tube but the standard of ID (Inner Diameter) is 8 mm to 18 mm, and OD (Outer Diameter) is 24 mm to 34 mm. It applies the same to colours, all kinds can be manufactured but the standard is white and grey (light, normal. dark)
The maximum Plusfoam can produce per day is from 20,000 to 30,000 metres depending on the request size.

EPE CORNER PACK

Corner Pack products are highly customisable.
The specification is as follows and the length can be produced up to 3 metres. LDPE is used in corner pack production and is used to pack furniture parts, car wheels, electronics, etc.

XPE/IXPE FOAM

XPE, Closed-cell, or cross-linked polyethylene foam, is utilized in a variety of applications, especially in the automotive sector as a lightweight alternative for interior components and as a tool for noise reduction. XPE foam has a number of exceptional qualities that make it perfect for usage in a variety of sectors, including the packaging, refrigeration, and automotive industries.
Cushioning, sound absorption, thermal insulation, and water resistance are some of the qualities of XPE foam.
IXPE (irradiation cross-linked polyethylene) is a low-density polyethylene, which uses electronic irradiation to transform into an independent obturator meshed bubble structure. It is a type of soft foamy material that continuously foams freely, has a smooth surface, is closed-cell, independent, and evenly dispersed. It also has an endless length, variable color, and density. IXPE performs better than other comparable foaming materials in comparison. Particularly for environmental protection, sound insulation, water resistance, moisture resistance, shock absorption, cushioning, flexibility, heat preservation, heat insulation, weather resistance, aging resistance, and lightweight. It is frequently used in flooring underlayment and can be blended with aluminum film, aluminum foil, PE film, and other materials. It is one of the best products for flooring underlay in terms of environmental protection, sound insulation, and moisture resistance.

METALIZED FILM

Metalized film EPE foam is a type of foam that has a thin layer of metallic film adhered to its surface. Thirdly, it helps to protect the foam from damage by adding an extra layer of durability and resistance to tearing and punctures.
